As promised in my
sneak peek last week, here's the big reveal of the living room! I meant to post earlier this week, but I didn't get a chance to finish painting the last wall until yesterday!
Remember when it looked like this? Old cherry floors and yellow walls (the picture does not do it justice at all!).
Or when the stairs looked like this?
Well, it all looks SO much better now. I LOVE every bit of it.
So here's what we did... We had the
floors redone back when we moved in, ordered all new furniture and accessories, painted the walls Mindful Grey by Sherwin Williams, and changed out the old painted vents for nice new crisp white ones.
Ah, isn't that better? Please excuse the cat. He refused to move, so pretend he's a prop.
The tray that Kitten is sitting in will go on top of the coffee table as soon as I get some cute accessories to go in it. The basket to the right holds Pete's collection of remotes and controllers for his zillions of electronics
I love the art on the floating shelf. The botanical prints are from here. The sign I made the other day. I'll share the DIY soon!
I think I might paint that letter B with some good old oil rubbed bronze spray paint at some point. Faux metal letter??
Pete got the turquoise pillows for me for Christmas. Good job, Pete! I'm hoping to find a few small turquoise accessories to give the very neutral room a couple pops of color.
From here you get a view into the dining room, up the stairs (painting those walls is my next project!), the entryway, and even a small part of the formal living room (can't wait to paint that fireplace!!!!).
Well, what do you think??
A few things I still need.... something to go in that left corner. Maybe a big basket full of blankets?? A new floor lamp. Curtains. Items to go under the long sofa table where the clock is. A stack of books maybe?? I would love to hear your ideas!!! :)

Those stairs are to die for. Amazing. Did you do a post on that project? And I love the mix of metal and wood furniture that you're using. Great work.
ReplyDeleteThank you so so much! I haven't posted the stairs yet because it's a work in progress :) We're working on painting the walls in the stairwell and considering painting the railing too!
