When I was decorating our new dresser turned entertainment center last week, I wanted to add a little bit of color to balance all of the black and wood. I love all things aqua/teal/minty/turquoise so adding some of my recycled glass vases was a no brainer, but I wanted to find some art too. When I couldn't find exactly what I wanted, I decided to design my own. I'm excited to share this free watercolor quote print with you today!

This quote is something I have to remind myself of daily. "Take time to do what makes your soul happy." As a busy momma, sometimes I get so caught up in trying to do it all that I forget about myself. I forget that I need time to reenergize my mind. What exactly that looks like is different for everyone, but for me, it's creative time.
Taking even just a few minutes to redecorate something, do a quick craft, or brainstorm my next big project does so much to refresh my mind. I always want to give my kids my best self, and that means I need to take care of myself. In our house, a happy momma is a happy household. I'm learning more and more that as the mom, my mood has a huge impact on everyone in the house, so it's vital that I step back and do something creative so that I can give my family my best every day.
Whatever hobby you have that brings you joy, don't forget to take a few minutes every day to do that.
